Mission statement:
We, Family Matters InFocus, are a professional counseling, mediation, and training center striving successfully to provide superior quality professional care and teaching nationwide, using state of the art media as a means of serving persons in need, and those working toward personal growth, in a thoroughness and convenience that has never existed before in therapeutic counseling, and mediation matters. We aim to form an alliance with each of our clients, providing services conveniently and in privacy, via the clients' choice of web conference, home-based,  or one-on-one counseling sessions.

Mediation is a confidential, private and less costly process of attending to marital strife, seperation and divorce issues.  It allows you to walk away with your self respect and dignity. A mediator is a "neutral" person that helps you reach a fair and equitable mutual agreement over matters you are currently in dispute about.We want to give you new strategies and techniques that would, perhaps, be more effective and helpful to you, your relationships, your children, or family member.

And, who doesn't have conflicts in relationships which can move us to experience pain and frustration?  Sometimes the pain in relationships can become so overwhelming that we lose an objective clarity.  We are here for you!

We provide:

One-on-one, family, and group counseling.

Web mail, or Web Cam exchange.

Depending on where you are located, we can provide Home Based counseling.

We can provide workshops and seminars anywhere in the United States.

Please keep in mind that online counseling/training does have its limitations. Unlike face-to-face sessions, clients and therapists cannot see facial expressions or body language nor are tones of voice heard. Also, technical difficulties can prevent clients from utilizing the service, or therapists from being able to respond as quickly as they would otherwise. Well documented studies have shown that roughly two thirds of all those who need to access counseling services are unable to access them. It is in these cases that Family Matters welcomes the opportunity to assist those who may not otherwise have the good fortune for more immediate access.Online counseling/training can provide a convenient and confidential means of gaining emotional support and professional guidance from the comfort of your own environment and has been shown to be effective.

It is important to note that Family Matters InFocus, Web Cam or Email, is NOT for those who are experiencing a crisis such as suicide. If you feel you are suicidal, you should call either the National Suicide Hotline (1-800-784-2433) or 911 for immediate help.
